Shawn and Katherine grew together as best friends, got married, and have been blessed with Levi, their incredible and talented son!
Even though they grew up in families centered around ministry, their hearts for God’s mission were kindled as they both were called and relocated to Baltimore professionally.  As they both began to excel professionally and God began to open many doors for them both, they remained true to their callings and commitment to God through ministry.  Both Pastor Shawn and Lady Kat simultaneously exceled in ministry as they took on the streets of Baltimore by storm as they began to proclaim the Word of God.  As they proceeded to chase their professional and spiritual dreams, God brought them together in holy matrimony.  God began to birth purpose in their hearts together-a passion for seeing people from all backgrounds fall deeper in love with God and change the trajectory of their lives according to the Word of God. This seed budded into passion for building a Safe place with unlimited resources where people encounter God and live an overflowing life in Jesus Christ, Thus, The City of Refuge Church was birthed.
Shawn, Katherine, and Levi are excited to build a safe place for a thriving community of world changers in Baltimore, Maryland, to fall in love with God and develop a deeper relationship and commitment to Him.  God has called these dynamic leaders to provide an atmosphere and opportunities for transformation to occur that will change lives and generations to come.  We cannot wait for you to join The City Family!
